Finding Solace and Art in Green Places: horticulture and nature-based therapy programs, education, and consulting
Ann Kent, HTM, is a horticulturist and a Registered Horticultural Therapist and for more than forty years, Ann has worked, created, and found solace in her Vancouver garden. She has nurtured seedlings to tall trees, fostered habitat for small wildlife, and spent hours observing the daily changes in a small, urban landscape. Ann is inspired each day by the restorative attributes of gardens and will speak to how these qualities can be created even in the smallest of spaces.
Ann will bring baskets and buckets full of greenery and flowers from her garden and invite us to participate in some ephemeral art activities. Come prepared for a sensory feast and botanical inspiration.
More about Ann and her work can be found at www.catkingardens.ca.
