Salon #14: The Gift of Art with Raine McKay

Raine McKay, Executive Director of  the Craft Council of B.C. will address the question: Why (and how) to buy original art for gifts?
Gift-buying can be a challenge and it may seem that buying original art is risky if you don’t know people’s tastes well enough. Raine will give you encouragement and suggestions on how to make a great match between gift and artist and recipient. And we have reason to believe she might show off some examples of great suggestions in various price ranges.
Mary Bennett will introduce Raine and on behalf of some of the visual artists involved with Artists in our Midst, offer “the top 5” list of why and another 5 tips on how!
And as always we’d love to have you introduce yourself and share your neighbourhood arts and culture news.
